Pregnancy calculator is a tool that can be extremely helpful to those that wish to know when they can get pregnant as well as if they are currently pregnant .Following types of calculation methods can be used to determine if you are pregnant.

  • Last period Date
  • Conception Date
  • Ultrasound
  • Ivf Transfer Date

last period Date(last menstrual period)

If your periods are regular, you can easily calculate your due date by is last period date. Add 280 days (40 weeks)or 9 months 7days to your last period date. For e.g.,- if 02/03/2020(last period date) by adding 280 days---09/12/2020(the women with 30days cycle).

Conception Date

The day on which a baby is conceived is the date of conception. Conception is the time when sperm travels in the uterus via vagina and fertilizes on egg. To find out your due date on has to add 266 days to your conception date. For e.g.,- LMP is 02/03/2020 and if your menstrual cycle is of 26 days then subtract 14 days from your cycle. 26-14=12.so your conception date is 12/03/2020 and add 266 days to it.you will get your EDD.

IVF Transfer

IVE is an infertility treatment in which the eggs of a woman and sperms of a man are fertilized in a Petra dish instead of a women’s body. By adding 266 days (38weeks)to the egg retrieval data you can easily calculate the due date.

  • 3 Day Fet-Add 266 days(38weeks) and subtract 3 days
  • 5 Day Fet-Add 266 days(38weeks) and subtract 5 days.

  • Ultrasound

Ultrasound or sonogram scans are totally safe and painless procedures. As they use a high frequency sound waves to get an image. It easily evaluates fatal development. The first ultrasound

(Between 6-10week) in your pregnancy is considered most accurate method to predict your due date. baby’s heartbeat cannot be heard on USG until 10-12 weeks. Your due date shouldn’t be changed if it is already set in the first trimester because ultrasounds that are done later are not that accurate

How To use ?

In most cases, using a pregnancy calculator is incredibly simple. You do not need to put in any of your personal information. Rather, you are simply supplying dates and time frames. The first step is normally entering the date of your last menstrual cycle, or the date that your last period started. This gives the calculator a starting point to go from. From this point, your calculator can calculate several other bits of information for you. It may ask you for additional information, too, such as the average number of days in your menstrual cycle, from one period to the next.

From this information, the calculator will tell you when you are likely to give birth. The simplest form of this is to simply calculate 40 weeks from the date of your last period out. Conception generally happens two weeks after this date, which would provide you with a 38 week gestation period. The two additional weeks that bring the total pregnancy term to 40 weeks, are the two weeks prior to conception, which often confuses many people when calculating this information

Be careful with the use of a pregnancy calculator, though. While they are accurate in the information that they provide, only about five percent of babies are born on their due date! Your baby should be born up to two weeks before or after your due date! Nevertheless, this tool serves as important tool in determining when you should get prenatal care.
